Cuisine of the Coral Coasts

I won a competition in the Fablecraft Discord server to design a companion home-brew supplement for a one shot written by THE Felicia Day! I constructed a series of restaurants and stalls to be used at the Fall Festival setting of the one shot. Each in-game region had a unique flavor palate based on real-world cuisines that I was craving at the time.

Savory aromas lead you down a narrow dirt road. A mishmash of colorful stalls line the path, beckoning with their bright signs. Oil sizzles, spices scent the air, and vendors call out to passersby, hawking their wares.

This open-air food court contains cuisines from all around Mythas! Dishes with an asterisk are two for one coin; everything else is one for one coin.

From the Coral Coasts:
Turtle Bread* - A popular dish in the Coral Coasts, similar to a pancake with onions and veggies inside. The griddle used to make them leaves markings similar to a turtle shell, hence the name Turtle Bread! Can be served plain or with a spicy chili sauce.
Fishflash Pastries* - Fish shaped pastries on sticks with a savory meat pie filling. Named that way because they’re gone in a flash! Children like to joust with the sticks afterwards.
Smoked Isopod Dip - Smoked isopod flesh with chives and spices, served in a jumbo isopod shell! A Coral Coasts delicacy, once you get past the way the serving dish looks.
Typhoon Bowls - A blended combination of fruits and ice, topped with more fresh fruit and drizzled with honey. During the stormy season, exotic fruits are more likely to wash up on shore, which make for delicious and unique bowls! As such, they’re named accordingly.

From the Long Meadows:
Pridemane's Fur - A sweet candy made of spun sugar, decorated with bright blue and emerald dyes. It's incredibly sticky and popular with children.
Steamed Tamal* - An easy-to-carry dish composed of spicy meat filling, wrapped in corn paste, wrapped in leaves! Tamal are commonly cooked in Longstrider prides as a simple but hearty meal to eat while on the go.
Flower Chips and Dip - Crisped flower petals served with beans, cheese, and tangy sauces. Different toppings are available, and the flowers end up tasting savory after the drying process.
Fried Plantain on a Stick* - Exactly what it sounds like.

From the Highlands:
Stone Soup - A hearty borscht that is cooked using hot stones. Families each have their own "secret recipe," so no two soups are exactly alike!
Flurry Curry - A fresh, minty curry that is grown from arboreal plants in the high mountains. Its unique flavor cools down the mouth instead of heating it, while still maintaining a spicy taste.
Geode Pops* - Colorful rock candy with crystalline appearance. Sweet, but hard enough to break a tooth on, so don't chew it!
Liquid Gold* - Paper cups of a smooth, caramel-colored liquid. Tastes delicious and warm, with a distinct nutty aroma.

From the Wildwoods:
Bird Nests* - Popular pastries consisting of fried dough surrounding a sweet egg paste. Sometimes sweet grasses are added to the dough to assist in the "nest" shape.
Anthills - A paste of chopped potatoes, peas, and spices, surrounded with a soft edible bark. They are formed in triangular molds, giving them an anthill shape!
Curried Mushroom - A bowl of mushrooms tossed in herbs and spices. The texture of the mushrooms is even more moist and tender than meat!
Leaf Wraps* - A blend of spicy and flavorful herbs, rolled up tight with another edible leaf. They are usually eaten as palate cleansers after meals, but can be snacks of their own when dipped in accompanying sauces.
